A FAB Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend, despite the colds the girls have and Amelia's first ear infection. They don't seem bothered much about their illnesses, they just smile through it. Baylee may be a little more temperamental about her bottle being ready quickly, she doesn't like to wait. Amelia is sleeping better now, we elevate her more to take pressure off her ears. It seems like everyone is getting sick these days, something to do with being in MN and stuck indoors sharing germs! Good ole MN! Mommy worked at Grace Park on Saturday and then had an open house with her Tastefully Simple products at her friend Cheyanne's house, she sells Beauticontrol products, that Mommy really likes for her sensitive skin! The rest of Saturday was spent quietly at home with the girls playing with Mommy and Daddy! Sunday started off with borrowing Grandma and Grandpa I's suburban, our vehicle decided to have the "check engine" light come on. We are bringing it in on Monday morning and getting a loaner car while they fix it. Thank goodness for the warranty! We then headed to Babies R Us in Bloomington, we had to buy a new stroller. We had been generously given a double umbrella stroller by our friends, however we were trying to fix a bent metal bar because it wouldn't fold up and inadvertently busted the metal bar. We were really bummed, we had plans to use it in California. But we are happy we got such a good deal on our new stroller. It was originally priced at $299, marked down to $167 then we had a coupon for 10% off. So, we are very pleased with the purchase, the girls seem to love it. We put it together at Grandma and Grandpa I's house and Grandma strolled Amelia around the house. Grandma was practicing for Disneyland. We then went to the Mall of America because Mommy had a coupon for Lane Bryant and needed to get a new outfit to wear to the Ellen Degeneres Show! Yes, we got tickets to be in the audience and are very excited to go, Grandma I, Auntie Janice and Auntie Joyce are all going. The guys will have childcare duties back at the hotel. Mommy loves the Ellen Show. At the mall, mommy broke down and bought cute dresses for Easter for the girls. She knows it is early but the outfits reminded her so much of when she was little and her mom dressed all of her girls in dresses that matched but were different colors. There were a lot of deals to be had out there, it was very busy considering the state of the economy. Babies R Us actually ran out of carts when we were leaving several people were waiting to nab ours right out of our hands. They were having a giant sale so maybe that brought people out, but Mommy thinks is because of the nice weather. After the mall, we headed to Auntie Jeni's house to visit, she turned 39 yesterday, hehehehe she is almost 40 :). Said with the utmost love!!! The girls played and laughed with their cousins and Auntie Jeni. Auntie Jeni said the girls are easily amused because they giggle at everything. All in all this weekend was great! Now, on to the task of packing 2 adults and 2 infants stuff to go on an 9 day adventure to the great state of California without breaking the bank on luggage fees. Oh, Mommy forgot to mention her new diaper bag! Grace Park Design Studio gave her a new picture diaper bag for Christmas and it finally got here. Mommy will post a photo of it so you can see tomorrow (hopefully). Let's just say you will recognize the two little ones on it. A woman stopped Mommy today to admire the girls (which happens a lot) but then she noticed the diaper bag and asked if it was an Anne Geddes photo and Mommy had to tell her no it was an "Auntie Joyce" starring our girls. She then couldn't stop talking about it and brought several other women into the conversation showing off the diaper bag (which Mommy stood there and smiled as the girls were eager to get moving again, thinking she really needed to get her shopping done, but thinks it is nice people are interested in the girls), Mommy wished she would of had business cards with her, but she did tell them the website for GPDS. It was very flattering, Mommy wished Auntie Joyce could of heard all the nice compliments on her work, Mommy was tempted to wipe out the iphone to show her Joyce's other works. Mommy knows she is shamelessly plugging her sister's work again, sorry!
