The A & J Nguyen Family: Cali Vaca Day #1

We are in California! You may be wondering how we have time to blog, well it is 4am. Our girls are on MN time and wide awake, so Mommy is blogging our first day. We had a great flight. The girls did really well, Baylee cried for about 10 minutes off and on in the beginning because she wanted to sleep. Once she was asleep, she slept the whole flight up to the last 10 minutes, where she giggled and laughed at us. Amelia only cried when she was hungry. She loved the tv built into the seat in front of her and her daddy. She watched Finding Nemo with her Daddy and tried to reach for the fish. She is definitely favoring tv, games and computers! Once on land, we had to haul all our stuff on a shuttle to go get our rental car, which is the same car we drive at home, so Mommy was very comfortable driving. Ok, Mommy has to say that driving here is an experience, first of all they don't merge politely, they wait until the end of the lane and then just move over, even if you are there and then if you are in their way they flip you off. We only ran into about 10 minutes of traffic on our way to Anaheim. We checked into our hotel for the first night, Fairfield Inn. We are only staying here one night and then on to our Disney Vacation. Mommy, Daddy, Amelia and Baylee walked to McDonald's right by our hotel. The girls were amazed they were actually outside without blankets over their faces. They love the stroller and sitting up. We have to say that the prices are way different, McD's cost us $20 (well you have to add the dippin' dots, Mommy had to have-Yummy!) We hung out in our room until the rest of the travelers arrived at the hotel. Then we went to their room, hung out and went to Target. Mommy decided to buy diapers and wipes here. We also had to pick up a stroller for Janice. Everyone was tired so we ended up ordering Pizza Hut to their room and had our own Pizza Buffet. The girls did ok, sleeping in strange pack n plays (that didn't come until we called a third time at almost 10pm). We are heading to do some shopping and hanging out today, before we check into our Disney hotel. Stay tuned for more on our Vaca to Cali!!!
