Having Fun in the Sun!
The girls love playing in their kitchen set! Here they are getting some play time in before heading to the Peninsula Malaysian Restaurant to have lunch with the Nguyen family. The restaurant was good, a bit spicy, but Mommy loved the bubble smoothies!
It got really hot one week, all the way to 97. Here are the girls playing in the sun in Auntie Janice's backyard! No worries they have sunscreen on!

This is rare that they are both on the blanket. Mommy and grandma had to keep putting them back on. They liked to crawl to the grass but didn't like sitting in the grass! They also each got turns swinging on the swing set and sliding down the slide with Cousin Brianna!
Cousin Davy getting ready to go outside, we can thank sunscreen for his new hairdo. He has really blonde hair and needs sunscreen so he doesn't burn the top of his head like his Auntie Jill does every time she goes outside without a hat.

8 month photo, sleeping upright and Barbies
The girls turned 8 months old on the 12th of May!!
Amelia is crawling everywhere. She is pulling herself up on everything! She hasn't tried to take steps but she will walk forward if you hold her hands a few steps but then she wants to get down and cruise around! She loves to play in the Little Tikes kitchen set. Her other favorite thing is to crawl under things and then try to sit up, sometimes this frustrates her when she is too tall to sit up! She also loves to eat puffs and yogurt melts. One of her favorite pastimes is to wrestle with her sister, unfortunately this can be the thing she hates the most too, when she is on the bottom and her sister has her hair!
Baylee is also crawling everywhere fast. If she sees something she knows she can't have, she crawls faster. She is our little daredevil. She has walked between couch and loveseat, she climbs up on things and picks on her sister all the time. She loves the lego table and stands there for long periods of time. She also loves to eat puffs and yogurt melts. She has been standing up in her crib as well! She loves to be outside at Janice's and wants to get down and join in the fun! She has been working on her two bottom teeth for some time now, they are right below the surface but they haven't cut through yet.
Mommy went to check on the girls at nap time and this is how she found Amelia sleeping, with her dolly in her hands. They love stuffed animals!

One Year Ago
One year ago, started out as an exciting day for us. We were going to find out the sex of our twins. 15 minutes into the appointment, I am being rushed to labor and delivery with 90% chance of losing them. Laying there and being told you weren't going to be parents for an extended period of time, really hurt. I was beside myself with grief. I can say it was grief because in my mind and the opinions of all the professionals I was definitely going to lose them. Tony stood by my side and just kept strong, while I lost it. Julie came and gave her support. Joyce talked to me on the phone a lot. The first 12 hours was a blur. Until 6am the next day, when the nurse shook me awake and said that Dr. Steven Calvin was willing to give me the risky rescue cerclage surgery!! My heart fluttered with some hope. I remember going into the surgery and thinking that I didn't want to lose them, but honestly I still believed it wasn't going to help. It of course worked after the next 171/2 weeks of bedrest, I was given the best gift in the world, my two beautiful twin daughters. I wouldn't of made it without the love and support from my four sisters, family and friends. The prayers from everyone and us helped us tremendously. We thank everyone for their support and love a year ago and are so blessed to be parents of two 8 month old baby girls. "It takes a village to raise a child", in this case it took a village to give the mom the encouragement, support and love to lay there to receive the gift of motherhood!!! Thank you!!!!!
Ok, done being sappy! It is still fresh in my mind!

Random Photos
Cousin My came over and helped watch the girls while Mommy cooked and Daddy cleaned for the baptism party!
Daddy has new competition for his XBOX controller!
Amelia crawls and gets the controller before her sister could get to it! She knows to push the buttons!
All smiles! "He he he Daddy, look what I have!!!"
Baylee is staring at the lights, trying to push the button to shut them off!
She pushes the button and then looks at the tv. She knows something is suppose to happen when she clicks the buttons. They both know that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on when we push the buttons, so we think she is trying to turn it on!
So, our crawlers are very fast now. They both are pulling themselves up on anything and everything. Baylee even transfers from one thing to another with a few steps while still holding on. Amelia loves to crawl over the top of her sister, Baylee likes to grab her hair on the way over! It is so fun to watch the two of them interact with each other. If one is laughing the other joins right in, same with crying (unfortunately). They both also think the dogs are hilarious, if they run by (to avoid little hands) they start to laugh. We've noticed they miss each other if one is gone somewhere or still napping. When they see each other again, they laugh and smile. Daddy even caught Baylee petting Amelia's hair while she was asleep on the floor. We just adore them! But they are growing up SO fast :(

Oops! But a pleasant surprise!
Well, since we told the family yesterday, we thought we would let our avid readers know we are expecting a baby in December. We have an ultrasound today to see if there is just one, we are praying for one. As many of you read our blog as I was on bedrest last time, you know that there are risks with any pregnancy with me. We are taking precautions early this time, I will be having a preventative cerclage at 12 weeks. This doesn't come without risks, it is surgery! We just ask that everyone keep us in their prayers that the surgery next month will be successful. With the cerclage I will be able to resume a normal pregnancy, hopefully! We were in shock for the last couple of weeks, we were totally surprised since our birth control apparently didn't work. But it is a good surprise and we are happily waiting for Nguyen baby #3!!!
UPDATE: We are going to be welcoming ONE baby come January 3rd (probably before)!!!!

The girls' baptism!
The girls were baptized today at RHUMC. All of our family members were present and some extended family. The girls didn't mind the water and looked around at everything! Amelia loved the music in church she jumped through the entire service. Baylee also liked the music and then migrated across the church to Grandma I and was passed up and down the aisle.
The smile on Amelia's face is priceless. Baylee was happy to be put down!

Crawlers and Climbers have entered: BEWARE
It has happened, the cute rolling and slowly scooting around the place has ended! Both girls are crawling, and getting faster everyday!!!! Mommy feels like she is forever digging the girls out from under the settee (which she hasn't figured out why they insist on going under there), bringing them out of the kitchen, rescuing the dogs from little hands, and having to pick up every itty bitty microscopic piece of anything on the floor!! Now, to our surprise, we have come out and found both girls standing next to the couch, having a fab time throwing Mommy's just folded clean clothes all over the floor. They both can sit themselves back up as well. We now have big babies!!! It is hard to watch the little babies in them disappear, Mommy misses the infant stage, but loves this stage too!!! There will be photos posted soon, we haven't had time to upload any because we are forever cleaning and preparing for the girls' baptism happening this Sunday! We are serving 30+ people lunch at our house, so wish Mommy luck!! Stay tuned for photos and more news!
