Today, neither one of us had to work. We actually all slept in this morning until 9:30. The girls went to bed at 9pm, but didn't wake until 3am for a bottle and then again at 6:45am. Mommy was so proud of them. After going through the Sunday paper (our favorite Sunday activity), we headed to Walgreens for some good deals they had, then to WalMart to do some household shopping and then finally to Cub for groceries. It was interesting going shopping, it takes us longer now, not because we have children in tow, because so many people want to stop and look at the girls. Mommy thinks, we've answered the same questions a million times. Today, a woman stopped us in one aisle in WalMart to look at the girls, inadvertly she blocked this other woman and let's just say the other woman was not happy. It is nice that others show an interest in the girls. We went home and Mommy got the great idea that we should start decorating for the holidays. Daddy wasn't too happy, but he went out and dragged in the christmas tree and preceded to put it up for the next hour while mom and girls snuggled on the couch. Daddy has got the hang of the christmas tree, he didn't utter one swear word. Way to go Daddy!!! This year in our new home, we don't have to tie the angel to the top because we have taller ceilings. It is now mommy's turn to put the lights on (or in her definition, throw them on the tree). Then we will all decorate, remembering to put any of the wood ornaments out of reach of our dog Daisy. We actually have 4 people done for christmas and mommy can wrap their gifts and stick them under the tree. It makes me feel good to get some of them done. Shopping early is good because the stores are still giving out good coupons, but once Thanksgiving comes they tend to stop and just do sales. Mommy made a yummy new recipe tonight, Caribbean Pork with tropical rice. Mommy has planned to try a new recipe every night this week. Tomorrow night, she is making Chicken and Bok Choy soup (not a new recipe but one of our favorites). Mommy is also going to try and make her own Never Fail Buns (a recipe from her grandma). Mommy is not sure she has the patience to bake buns. We took some photos tonight but haven't yet uploaded them, we did post bathtime at the Nguyens. The girls enjoy their baths, as long as the water is warm. The thing they absolutely hate is getting out. They don't like to be cold. We still bath them on the floor in the living room, easier on mommy's hip (she is going to physical therapy tomorrow to help recondition it after 4.5 months laying down-but worth every minute and every pain). After the bath if we don't empty it right away, our youngest dog Daisy thinks it is her turn. We have to dig her out after she gives her face and feet a bath. Mommy thinks she is a little jealous of the babies still. If mommy talks to the babies in a high pitch voice, Daisy comes running and wants all the attention, Minnie could care less (she's kind of a princess dog). Baylee is waiting for the water again in photo #1 and Amelia is looking at Mommy as if to say does my sister have to scream through my relaxing bath.

TGIF

We are expecting company tonight. A group of Tony's cousins from Nebraska are in town and are coming over for dinner tonight (roast pork, roast duck, white rice and yummy bread). They want to see the babies and have dibs on who is going to hold them. It should be fun, I hope the girls don't get crabby (they tend to have crying spells in the evening). We are still waiting for some of the results back from the girls tests. We received some but aren't going to worry until we go to the specialist next week, and I am not looking anything up on the internet before hand (ok Auntie Joyce), I promise. We are enjoying our beautiful little girls to the max. They were rather funny last night. We were cleaning for company coming and so we put Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the tv and they were both rather absorbed (hopefully not as absorbed as their father gets with tv :) ). They laugh now, a lot in their sleep but some when talked to. I personally feel their little smiles light up the room, but I am sure every mom thinks that. All is going to be well and we have faith that our little girls are going to be just great!!! Oh, the photo is of them sharing the bouncy seat while mom took their photo at work at Grace Park Studio, they kind of liked it for oh let's say 2 minutes. :) I have no idea why the bottom looks like that it was taken on my iphone.

Two Month Checkup
The girls had their two month checkup today. Everything went well. Amelia is at 9lbs 8 ozs and 21 inches long. Baylee is 9lbs 4ozs and 21 inches long. They didn't like the shot. They have to go back next week to get the other 2 shots because of a shortage in vaccinations. Yeah, we get to go back and have them scream again :(, Better than getting sick though. The girls still have the jitters and the doctor wants to check a few things to rule out any problems. So they had blood drawn for testing their thyroid and they will be going to childrens hospital tomorrow for head ultrasounds. Mommy wonders how well that will go over with the girls. But at least we can rule out any problems. The doctor said the girls are growing up right where they should be. She thought they were really cute smiling and giggling at her today. Let's just say they didn't smile and giggle at the shot nurse after the shot. They settled down really fast though once we picked them up. Baylee didn't like the blood draw she screamed the whole time, but Amelia didn't cry once. She just looked at the woman with a look that said "what do you think you are doing?" Mommy had an appointment afterwards (that she made it to one minute before hand) to see if her cyst was still there. Well, it is, so mommy is going to have to have it removed. It is a day surgery and quick recovery hopefully. Daddy is doing fine, right now he is trying to comfort some crabby babies. Oh oh, both are crying now, mommy is on duty!!!

Dinner with the Lins
Last night, the Lins came over for dinner. Actually, they brought dinner. Peggy made spag. and broccoli with some yummy bread. She also made some apple crisp that Mommy really liked. It was fun seeing their family. Mommy and Daddy have missed the girls a lot. Little Josie kept giving Mommy kisses and cuddles. Ellie and Hattie had fun playing the Wii, oh and Harrison liked playing too. Ellie and Hattie both got strikes on Bowling. They were so happy. We love to see all of them and we posted some photos we manage to take.

Election Day-Auntie Joyce's Birthday

Well, we are going to vote tonight when Tony gets home. The girls will get to see us vote for the next president. We could write Auntie Joyce in since it is her birthday, but I am afraid she will just not win:). We are visiting with Auntie Alexis today, after voting we are heading to the Nguyen grandparents for dinner. Grandma Nguyen gets to vote for the first time this year because she is now a US citizen, she passed the test. Congrats Grandma Nguyen! I took a few shots of the girls smiling. They are really into laughing, giggling and smiling. Baylee smiled yesterday at the dragonfly on her playmat for half an hour. Auntie Joyce and I think she thought it was someone talking to her. The girls are doing great going to work with me. I have been doing a lot of editing and helping out at Grace Park. This weekend I will be starting to help with the photo shoots. Daddy is going to have to watch the girls. They will all do fine.

The Twins First Halloween
Ok, before anyone gets worried, the girls were given suckers from Auntie Janice who thought she would let them have a lick, but we just posed for the photo with them and then mommy and daddy enjoyed the suckers. Hey, at least the suckers match their cute pumpkin costumes. Top photo-Miss Baylee Bottom photo-Miss Amelia
The girls trick and treated at both their grandparents house (photos above), Auntie Janice's, Auntie Joyce's and the Mall of America (photos below). FYI the mall of america is packed on Halloween but a lot of fun. We went with Uncle Vincent, Auntie Angie and Cousin Nicholas. We stopped by Auntie Alexis' store to visit her while we were all there. The girls had several Halloween outfits given to them, so we tried to make sure they wore them all. Great Auntie Joan wanted a photo of them in the one she gave them, it is below. Left-Amelia Right-Baylee
On Saturday night, the girls went with us to their first Halloween Party at Great Aunt Joan's farm in Roberts, WI. It was a little cold but they slept through it. We have pictures of the Nguyen family pumpkin patch club, Auntie Jeni and Uncle Todd feeding us, Mommy with two of her sisters, Baylee with Cousin Cindy, Sarah Palin kissing Baylee (really our friend Kari) and snapshots of our cousins. Let's see we were-the Nguyen Family Pumpkin Patch Club, Auntie Julie, Uncle Craig and Cousin Davis were the Davis' "Pops", Davis' Mummy and Kung-Fu Panda, Auntie Jeni, Uncle Todd, Cousin Zak and Cousin Marissa were Marissa's Security, Marissa's Security #2, dark knight type, and a Rock Star. We all danced and had a good time. Thanks to the Brown's.
