I can't wait for spring/summer. The kids are going to love playing outside. The only thing they do now outside is shove snow in their mouths!! I am nervous for all the flooding they are talking we are in for. We have gotten so much snow!! The kids are doing great! We are starting to familiarize the girls with the potty. They still can not say "I have to go potty" however they do say "poop" and run to the potty. "Poop" means both one and two :) Charlie is getting so big! I can't believe I don't have any babies anymore, one toddler and two soon to be preschoolers!! Makes me want to have another one-not! Three is perfect for us.
I have been going to school this semester and it is challenging to get the papers done with the kids up, so after they are in bed I do them. I had only 3 classes before but today started my fourth class! 60 days to go before summer break, I feel like I am in high school again, looking forward to summer!
The girls are excelling at their speech therapy. They are talking a whole lot more. Favorite saying is "no, no, momma" with a shake of the finger and a little head shaking! I think it's cute now but in 5 years I will not!! If we stop at McD's, they will order from the backseat and tell the person "thank you" or in Baylee's case "your welcome". Other favorite, heard a lot phrases, "here you go", "shhhh momma", "there it is", "oh, oh" and more that I can't think of right now because I just had to bust up a fight between the girls over a purse. I have two very big girly girls, they love "lips" which is lip gloss, purses, dresses, their hair done and mommy's makeup bag (that I have to hid up high, walked in to several make up sessions that lead to baths).
Charlie is quite the little flirt. He loves to bat his big eyes at the ladies. He is talking a lot lately. He also thinks the tv has to be on ALL the time, ask Auntie Janice, he gets mad if she turns it off. I don't think he walks anymore, he runs everywhere. He always tries to run out of the garage to get to the snow. He is soooo much like his dad when we get in the car, he falls instantly asleep even if he has just napped!! He also got to go on his first rides at the MOA this last month, which he loved and didn't want his sisters to get a turn!
We are doing great and can't wait to enjoy some warmer weather!

Bumps in mommy's road

Well, it's been awhile since I have posted, several reasons, mostly because I keep forgetting. This has been a month from mommy h..e..double hockey sticks :) We started off with 3 kids having the flu. Charlie lasted longer and longer with high fever and diarrhea, so we took him in to find out he had a severe bladder infection from his recircumsion surgery in late January. So for several weeks now we have been fighting the crud, we seem to pass it around. That is minor compared to last weekend. Actually, the worst days of my life with children started last Thursday! We all had done a family shopping trip to Target on Wednesday evening. Needless to say some of the bags were still on the kitchen table in the morning, the Charter man came to fix our cable AGAIN! I noticed the kids had gotten a mirror I had bought out of the bag. I finished showing the cable man where the outlet thingy was, then went and fetched the mirror, I was afraid they were going to break it, I should of been afraid for something bigger than that. Tony got to it first, he then turned to me and said "where's the other battery?" My response was "what batteries?" as I didn't know the stupid compact mirror held 2 watch batteries in it, I had no clue. Well, this turned in to a frantic search of the downstairs, everyone helped including the cable man. I called the doctor and she told me to bring all 3 kids to the ER ASAP! So in short the three of them were thrown in the car and mommy hauled them down to Children's (daddy had to go to work). Mommy pulled up hauled them out and gave the keys to security as the nurses were waiting for us and started grabbing the kids to get xrays. At this point, I realized how serious it was, mommy went into silent panic mode. Charlie was first, due to age. They cleared him and then asked me which one of the girls I suspected, I pointed to Amelia. They xrayed her and came out with her and said "we have found the culprit". Yes, my daughter swallowed a watch battery. My heart sank. I was scared for her life!!! Swallowing a battery can kill a child! Amelia luckily had it in her stomach, it passed the esophagus! If caught in the throat, the child has 2 hours to remove it or it becomes fatal, we live 45 minutes away from the hospital and we searched for 30 minutes. The doctors told me that she would pass the battery out in her stool. I was not happy about this, I wanted it out, they must of needed someone to convince me as my kid's pediatrician called on my phone to assure me it would be fine. I reluctantly went home. I watched Amelia all night, praying she would poop and it would be there. She slept next to me, I didn't sleep a wink. The next morning, I got up and was in the bathroom when Amelia came in crying. She started coughing really hard and then spit up, to my horror she had a blood clot in her spit. Off to the ER! They took an xray of her tummy and said the battery was currently in the colon and should pass soon. However, they needed to do an endoscopy to see what damage it did and where, we prayed it wasn't her throat or burned a hole in her stomach. So, we had to wait for the OR to be free. I think every possible thought entered my mind and that 7 hour wait was killing me. She was taken finally in at 2:45! At 3:00, I found out she had some damage in her stomach but nothing major that wouldn't heal on it's own. But the darn thing was still in her when we were sent home. She hadn't pooped since. I gave her miralax on Saturday.

Tangent: On Saturday evening, right after dinner, I was following the kids up the stairs for baths. Amelia was up already but Baylee and Charlie were still on the stairs. I was a good 6-7 stairs behind carrying some crap. Charlie reached up to pull on Baylee's favorite blanket, well Baylee didn't appreciate it, she pushed him. I watched in slow motion as Charlie fell head over heels down the stairs hitting his head against the wall. I picked him up and he was bleeding and a huge bump was already there. A call to Auntie Julie and we all went to the ER, yes Again, three times in three days! Charlie had a cat scan and he was just fine. They at first thought one stitch or liquid stitches but it healed over before they got to that! UGH! I was ready to turn in my mommy card at this point.

Back to the battery: Amelia pooped 3 times before Monday, but we didn't find the battery. We brought her in to the doctor's office for a follow up xray! They said it was clear. What? I didn't find a battery, and let's just say to all that know me, I searched the poop 3 times and then made Tony do it twice!! I hadn't sleep in 4 days. I watched her for any signs something was wrong. I know some would say I was over doing it, but this small thing could of killed my daughter! I wanted it gone and her cleared of harm. She went another 2 days, pooping a lot, the miralax kicked in, and she had her final xray and there was no sign of the battery! She is battery free!!! I still wished I would of found the thing, just for my own peace of mind!

I feel like a terrible parent for bringing an item in to our home that was so easy to open and get batteries out of. I didn't even know the thing had batteries, I just tossed it in the cart, I didn't even read it. I have thrown out anything that has those kind of batteries in it and have sealed all our battery toys with duct tape!!! I don't ever want to go through this again! What I have learned is this: if you suspect at all that your child has swallowed a battery do not hesitate take them immediately to the ER, minutes are precious to the health of your child if they did swallow it!!!

Now, back to get my kids to sleep! I wasn't going to post this but maybe it will help one person in the future and that is worth the embarrassment that I was a terrible parent on that dreadful Thursday, not paying attention to what was going on!

Look at that smile because this is the only time he smiled. He did not like the thunderstorms at the restaurant! He spent most of the time whining to go out, he pointed to the door several times. Poor guy, the girls were the same way when they were younger. We celebrated Valentine's Day with Daddy on the 15th because he had to work on the 14th. We spent the 14th at Auntie Janice's Daycare exchanging valentines and having a little party with the kids. The kids really liked opening up all the cards and REALLY enjoyed the candy!! Amelia, Baylee and Charlie bought Grandma I some flowers and chocolates, they were soooo excited to give them to her. They hung out the door waiting for her to walk to Janice's. It was super cute! We are getting quite the snowstorm today so I finally was able to update our blog!

Trying to get him to afternoon naps only, he takes his morning nap around 11:30, I am moving him 1/2 at a time, to eventually be 1!! He is not a fan some days, this is one of those days ;)

Mommy is starting school tomorrow. She is very excited and nervous at the same time. Classes this semester are, Algebra, Writing & Research, History of the US and American Sign Language. Wish her luck!!

Obession with getting the kids rooms decorated-kind of

I am trying to find inexpensive fun things to decorate the kids rooms with. I have decided on themes, girls' room-Disney Princess (surprise surprise), they really like Princess Tiana and Ariel! Charlie's room is going to be Handy Manny! Now, I am trying to motivate myself to go thrift store shopping to find creative items for their rooms. I do want to paint some canvas art for Charlie's room. We are not able to use those cool peel and stick murals because we have textured walls and they WILL NOT stick, no matter what you try. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I do not want to paint their walls, I want to create something without having to paint.

Girls room ideas so far:
Dress up corner-I am reusing some old hooks I found in the tool box to screw into the wall, they have disney dress up outfits they got from Auntie Alexis. I am painting letters to spell out DRESS UP above it. I am also looking for a cheap kid's hat stand for all their crowns and hats. This will go in the closet or just outside the closet, haven't decided yet.

I have 2 canvas art and 2 framed disney princess artwork for the walls.

I want to paint letters to spell out each girl's name with Princess in front of it, for above their beds.

I want to get disney princess bedding(this is going to wait until mommy gets her budget in check.

We have a little table already in there, we need some more storage for toys, I also have to find an area for their dolly play stuff. Thank goodness they have such a large room.

I plan on making curtains. Hitting the clearance fabric sections.

Charlie's room ideas

To get the toddler Handy Manny sheet/comforter set.

He has a cool blue dresser and a funky orange chair in his room. He also has a table and chairs in there, I am going to see if peel & stick stickers will stay on them.

I want to get some canvases and paint them first then add each one of the tools from a peel and stick sticker set to decorate the walls.

I want to paint HANDY CHARLIE letters for above his bed.

Those are all the ideas I have now. If someone out there in cyberland has any other really cool inexpensive ideas, let me know!!!

New Year Resolutions-No, let's try no lifestyle

Well, I thought about making New Year resolutions, but why, I always mess them up the next week. So, I have decided to change my lifestyle instead. What does this mean? I am trying to change things I don't like about myself or the way I live for life not just for the new year. I have made a list of things that are important to me and what I need to do to make those things priority to me. I have been doing well on some of the things I want to "change", others are a challenge, but just because I fell off the bandwagon one day doesn't mean I have messed up for life. I just try again the next minute, hour, or day! I am trying not to be hard on myself when I mess up, but I am rewarding myself when things go right. My house, the downstairs so far, is becoming organized so life is easier. No more scrambling to pack the diaper bag at the last minute, it is always packed and ready to go now, which makes getting out of the house easier. Now to figure out how to lessen the time it takes to get winter gear on three fidgety kids LOL! My dishes are now done right after a meal, yes I used to let them sit. I am also making dinners every night for us. Tonight, I made a turkey breast, mashed taters, stuffing and rolls for dinner! I am also not overstocking my cupboards, I am trying to finish the food in them first. I am having the girls help me cook something once a day, yesterday they "helped" stir the cinnamon apple muffins. Also, we are organizing the billion toys the kids have. I also made my goal, tonight actually, of getting all the stuff out of the garage so I can park my car in it. I am utilizing items I found at garage sales, thrift stores or got free to decorate our new home. Tonight, I spray painted two items to match the bench at the front door, BTW I love spray paint it made a huge difference in the two items. I might start spray painting everything :) The house is coming to order so to speak!

Baylee (first photo) and Amelia (second photo) have decided that every day they need to have at least one popsicle or 50. They beg at the freezer at least a dozen times a day! Charlie now can eat one on his own too, just with supervision because he doesn't hold it with the stick so his hand gets super cold! The last photo is of my son getting comfy on his sister's very pink blankets, he is a very secure little man ;) Sorry for sooo many posts at once I am trying to get all the 2010 photos in before the end of the year!! Can't believe it's going to be 2011 soon!

This outfit was a hand me down from Cousin Davis, apparently Charlie thought he needed to live up to what his shirt said that day, he was a "little devil"! :)

After Charlie's first party of the day, Baylee and Charlie were extremely tired, they cuddled up together while playing with his new toys and fell asleep for 2 hours!!

Minnesota had a blizzard the weekend before Charlie's birthday and this is our front screen door, the snow is blocking the door and we couldn't get out, the garage door was frozen shut too! No worries we got dug out! There is so much snow here, it reminds me of the snow we had when I was little. For example, the snow in our front yard is taller than me and 3 times taller than the twins. I have to push it down the street now to get the snow off our driveway!

This is the way the girls "help" with laundry!

Yes, this is Charlie at the hospital again. After his surgery in November, he contracted a serious infection, that lead to him having surgery to drain the infection and having to stay in the hospital for the weekend getting iv antibiotics. Poor guy had to be stuck over a dozen times, arms, legs, ankles and head, to start an iv! Auntie Julie was there and she eventually stayed with him because mommy first of all couldn't handle watching him cry for the 2 hours it took to get the iv in (YES 2 HOURS) and she had a hallway meeting with not 1 or 2 or 3 no 6 doctors on what the plan was to get Charlie over the infection. This was very scary! Auntie Julie was Charlie's advocate, mommy asked for the IV team to come in after the second try, she was told they were the iv team (just so you know they weren't), Auntie Julie was very verbal when the 3 sets of nurses came in and said "they were good at starting IV's", Julie informed them that this was his 10th try and the poor baby had been through enough. Well, they failed but then came the nurse of my dreams. She looked at me and said she would try once and if she didn't get it, she wouldn't keep poking him. She did it!!! We loved her! Everyone kept calling him too pudgy, well he is a little chubby but I have seen way chubbier babies in my lifetime and makes me think what they have to go through! Personally I think he has my veins, I have to have the iv team whenever I get an iv! He is completely recovered with a small scar.

This is what our house looks like right now, a lot of new toys thrown everywhere! Charlie loves the duplo blocks he got from his Uncle Vincent & family! Amelia is in the background playing with one of the two magna doodles Santa brought them! Mommy needs some more bins, shelves or garbage cans (just kidding). This week we are determined to organize everything for the new year! Right now we are fighting the "pink" eye, drops in 3 kids eyes every 4 hours is not very fun, let me tell you :( Hope everyone has a great new year and a safe one too!

The adventures of surgery with a two year old

10 things I learned these 5 days post op with a two year old (dare I add stubborn 2 year old)

10. Insists on sleeping on me no matter if my legs, hips & tushie are in pain

9. Putting a nuk in her mouth makes her swallow the much needed medicine

8. Ellaphant (her stuffed animal) really needs a bath, but has been the best companion he was knocked out before her, he got a chest xray just like her and he gets medicine like Amelia :)

7. Disney movies heal. How many times have I watched Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas this week? You don't want to know!

6. Her brother & sister will annoy her no matter what they are doing, don't even think about looking at her Baylee and Charlie

5. She will wake up in the middle of the night screaming, every 4 hours, in need of item #2, then think it is time to watch a movie, so crying for 15 minutes because you are mad at mom before passing out again!

4. You can not eat too many popsicles.

2. Tylenol with codeine is my savior!!!

1. She wants her mommy, no matter how much she loves her daddy, only Mommy's arms will do!

Post op

Well we are post op recovering now. Amelia is doing well, she had her tonsils/adnoids outs and tubes put in her ears. She seems to go in spurts of wellness. Then she crashes and cries which she is hard to get to calm down. She doesn't like to take her medicine so every 4 hours we have a meltdown. Amelia had to stay overnight in the hospital, they wanted to give her anti swelling drugs because she already has a small throat and with the natural swelling from surgery they wanted to make sure her airway was clear. She loved going on wagon rides throughout Children's Hospital. We met some other friends in the hospital and mommy just has to say that we are really lucky we just had our tonsils/adnoids out, some of the poor angels we met were in for far worse. May they recover soon :)

Charlie is doing well, a little gassy still from his procedures. He had a bronc and endocospy which led to them taking 3 biopsies of his tummy from "suspicious" material. We will know what that is all about in a week or so when the results come back. He fought being put under put did well waking up. He then got to have some cuddle time with his favorite person, grandma I. He was a major flirt with the woman, just like his Grandpa I used to be!! He really didn't like his iv and we had to restrain him so he wouldn't pull it out!

Baylee is doing well, she has aspiration pneumonia. All 3 of my children have been diagnosed with weak throats that leave their airway not protected from liquids. We are going to be starting Vital Stem therapy in December (Amelia has to wait 4-6 weeks). This is to strengthen their throat muscles so we can prevent aspiration pneumonia. Anyways Baylee is doing well, currently napping. She has not had a fever for 3 days. So we are thankful and hopeful she is on the mend.

Cute after note. Amelia is awake right now but her siblings are sleeping on the floor in the living room. She just took 2 blankets and covered each one of them up and patted their back and said "nigh, nigh". Too cute. A definite glad to be a mom moment!!

Lazy Sunday

What are we doing today? Absolutely nothing! It feels good to have a morning with just the family hanging out, playing dollies, playing with mommy's make up kit (Amelia), which lead to cleaning the carpet, Charlie eating a least 3 whole silver dollar pancakes, the girls decorating each other with pudding, watching Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, throwing clean laundry all over thinking it is the best game ever, putting blankets on our heads and trying to find our way around. So was this morning lazy?? We need to add at least 5 timeouts for 2 little 2 year olds and 1 timeout for a little man who can't stop turning the tv on and off. 1 meltdown over a missed toy. 1 doorbell ring from another kid selling some kind of fundraiser thing.

Now for naptime! phew! Mommy needs a nap and daddy is off to work. Afternoon fun...hmmm I am thinking of something that gives hours of entertainment but hours of clean up to...what's that? Playdoh! May my children not consume it or throw it across the room or smash it in the carpet.

Happy Halloween! Here is a photo of our Three Little Pigs! The kids had so much fun going door to door. Baylee & Amelia thanked everyone and blew kisses. They also went up to the door and said "Trick or Treat" Mommy was so happy that they were talking most of the night! Charlie REALLY likes suckers! It was a great night and we had a blast!

They really are being good about staying by us and will stop when we ask them too. There has been a time or two that they tested our patience and thought to run. Let's just say that didn't work for them!

Girls First Day of Dance

Baylee at her first day of dance. She participated for the first 10-15minutes but when it was time to stand on her spot she kind of lost it. She cried for that portion but then perked up and participated during the tumbling (not surprising) and the end lineup. She was happy after to see us. This is their first activity they have done that we were not in there with them.

Amelia at her first day of dance. She was eager to get in. She was really unsure for the first 10-15 minutes, but then did as she was suppose to (minus the swimming on the floor for some time). She couldn't get the hang of the tap shoes, they were slippery and she did a lot of slipping. She was also excited to see us, overall she liked it!

We are working on the girls' birthday party! They will be 2 on Sunday and I just can't believe it. I have photos coming from the fair, and of course from their birthday parties. One this weekend and the other is postponed until G & G Nguyen come back from Nebraska. Just thought I would add a quick note about the upcoming festivities. I am up late making the cakes. The girls chose Hello Kitty as their theme. We are having a joint party with Cousin Davis who turned 3 on the 7th. It should be lots of fun with a bounce house and all!

We are so excited we are moving to a townhome this week! Been busy getting organized for the move so it is easier on us! Believe it or not the last two times we moved I was pregnant! Not this time :)

The girls have transitioned to big girl beds well! We have to put them back in at least once but they get it after that. The girls have also been helping with laundry, they love to put the laundry in the washer and dryer! I hope it stays that way! Their speech is coming along. This week our new words are "raven", "grandma", "poop" and "big butt" (yes I know, it comes from a song-opps). We are proud of any words :) They will be seeing a speech pathologist at Children's. The doctor feels we need a little more help than just the Birth to Three program from the school district. We will still be having them over at our new home. It is confusing because sometimes one of them will say a complete sentence out of the blue, I guess we will figure it out in the long run! They are still my climbers, daredevils and cuddlebugs! This week they have also been wanting to sit on the potty, we bought big girl panties but they aren't quite ready for the big plunge!

Charlie has started to crawl, the army crawl! He is soooo proud of himself, he is attempting to pull himself up on things but he gets nervous! Maybe he will be my careful baby not like his daredevil, scare their mom to death sisters! He loves baths and likes to laugh and giggle at his silly sisters. Charlie finally sleeps until 5am now, he loves his bottle so much he had a hard time getting rid of the middle of the night bottle! He also sits in carts at the store like a big boy, which he thinks he is king s---! If you know what I mean. His other favorite thing is to sit in the highchair and play with spoons, plates and cups. Mommy can get the dishes done now!

Daddy has been accepted at Normandale Community College! He also received grants to pay for it!!! GO DADDY! His plan is to get his two year degree there, move on to the U and then he wants to go to Pharmacy school. He knows it's a long road ahead but he is committed and very excited. We will miss him lots since he will be working and going to school, but it will all pan out in the end!

I am doing well, trying to balance everything! I had to put my own plans on hold for right now but will slowly get them in the swing again as soon as we get settled in our new home. I am planning the girls 2nd birthday and bargain hunting fall clothes, this is an expensive venture to clothe three little ones. I am a coupon user and go for the deals! Buy one, get one deals are my favorite, it works great for the girls ;)

Our next post will hopefully contain photos of our new home and some new ones of the kiddos! So see you all again in August!

Can't believe it's July already. In two months the girls turn 2, can you believe it?? In 28 days, we will be moving into our new townhome. We are so excited. We thank Grandma I for letting us stay at her home the last few months, it helped us out!! So, packing again! The girls watch Tony and I pack things up and then unpack them for us. This should be interesting. At least they will be helpful once we get the boxes to the new house, they can just empty everything.

The girls are doing well. They are talking a little bit more. I am coming to the conclusion that they are plain stubborn. They say things out of the blue but when you ask them to say something the refuse to say anything. The speech teacher comes out once a week and that will still be the case when we move. They are quite the climbers. They love to fight their boundaries. They also love water. We go to a splash pad with them and they love to splash and run through the water. They also loved playing in the pool and waterslide at Joyce's this week.

Charlie is doing great! He had his 6 month checkup and he weighs 18.5 pounds! He is doing well, sitting up and starting to scoot forward. He has been fighting a cough for 8 weeks. The doctor has us giving him an allergy medicine to see if he has seasonal allergies. If that doesn't work, they will be checking him for asthma. Poor guy breathes terribly outside! He is such a happy go lucky guy!!

Little mister strapped to mommy, because cousin Davis took his seat in the triple stroller! The kids and mommy took Davy with us to the zoo! Yes, mommy was brave! Everyone was really well behaved! We left after a 9 or 10 year old pushed Davy down at the zoo park! Davis was offended and wanted to get away from the mean person! We ended up getting an ice cream treat from Culver's on the way home, to perk him back up!

Here's Amelia signing "more", she wanted to see more fish! The girls aren't talking much so we are teaching them sign language along with their speech teacher. It has worked well, they are saying a lot of words now periodically! They did learn "no" which isn't OUR favorite word! :)

A weekend at the cabin

The kids and I packed up and headed up to visit Grandma I at her cabin! We hadn't seen her in a month! The girls were so excited to see her and Charlie was estatic (he adores his grandma). We were a surprise for her! Janice and her girls went with and grandma knew they were coming but Janice didn't tell her about us! We had a great time, a visit to Wal-Mart, playing in the yard, and cuddle time with Grandma. It was opening of the fishing season, mommy didn't fish for two reasons I didn't get a license and I have 3 children under 2 to watch (not fishing material YET). I did miss my fishing partner a LOT, my dad! We all went in on a photo that Joyce created of my father for our mom on Mother's day! It was hanging up in the living room and it was hard not thinking of him at his favorite place!! He is definitely missed by a lot of people! I thought I would post a photo of my dad and I!!

I was running back in forth from the laundry room and living room trying to catch up with the laundry. I had thrown in a movie for the girls to watch so they wouldn't try escaping from the playroom! Baylee was sitting on a little trike right in front of the tv watching the movie! As I rounded the corner, I watched Amelia approach from behind. I was ready to intervene, the girls like to push each other off the trike, it's their favorite toy! Amelia leaned in and gave her sister a big hug! As I was just getting in my "awww, so nice" comment, her little hand reached up grabbed the pacifier from her sister's mouth and ran as fast as she could away! Here I thought, my two angels were loving each other, but no Amelia had a plan to get the one nuk in the room. We no longer allow them to have nuks during the day, only in bed or when they get shots!! Baylee must of found one and Amelia was jealous and this was her way of getting it. What do I have in store for the future??? Gotta love those moments in life, they make everything better no matter how bad things get!!! Love those girls!! Thanks MY ANGELS for making mommy laugh!

Big Field Trip to the Zoo-Part 1

Charlie is so excited to be at the zoo! We decided to go with Janice's daycare on a field trip to the MN zoo! We had 3 car loads, 4 adults, 8 children 2 and under (they are free) and 4 children 3 and up. Auntie Alexis joined in the fun! We had a really good day, all of the kids were super good!! The only problem we ran into was in the playground an older man (with no children with him) started calling Amelia's name and taking photos of her. This bothered me a lot, I put my hand in front of his camera and told him he couldn't take photos of her. He got very mad at me and yelled at me telling me that we were in a public place and he has all the right to take photos of who he wanted because that was the law! I proceeded to tell him he was wrong and he finally walked away yelling at me. Another mother in the playground went and reported him to the zoo officials because he was taking photos of other little children! As a mom, it makes you nervous when someone listens to you interacting with your child and then uses your child's name to get their attention! After that, we continued having a wonderful time at the zoo! It will take several posts to show the photos. Only my children, nieces and nephews will be shown!

The girls love the Hello Kitty store at the MOA! We were bringing Parker to a birthday party at the MOA on Saturday so we thought to walk around the mall for the afternoon! We were across the way from the Hello Kitty store when Mommy spotted Miss Hello Kitty. We rushed over camera in hand! We made it right before she was going to leave!! The girls were in awe! They wanted her to pick them up, they danced with her and really didn't want to share her with anyone else! There is a sound that attacts many children as it comes up the street, that is the ice cream man! Well, the girls heard it from inside. We ran out to get them a treat, money in hand, ran down the driveway and believe it or not that ice cream man passed us by! Ugh, what to do? Two little girls threw themselves on the deck in tears! Mommy and Grandma were getting ready to go to a Tribute for Grandpa so we thought a treat would of been a good distraction from us leaving and daddy staying home! Daddy came out with two bomb pops from the freezer thank goodness!! So here are some photos of happy girls who got their treat afterall!! Here is a quick update on everyone. I got a little camera for the diaper bag and haven't figured out how to upload them yet. I will soon.

Charlie-He is doing great, getting SOOOO big. He is in 3-6 month and 6-9 month clothes already. He is smiling and cooing a lot. He likes to kick his feet when you lay him on the floor!! He sleeps at night all the way to 5 am, eats and then back to sleep until 8ish. He is my little cuddlebug. He got over his RSV, which is awesome. He got his 2 month shots today and lets just say he didn't like it. His sisters cried for him too! The girls were already upset because they had shots too! He weighs in at 12 pounds 12ounces. He is doing great!!!

Baylee-She had surgery to remove a lump on her throat last week. She did really well and the lump turned out to be a simple dermoid and not a thyroglossal cyst, which was excellent news. She was so funny during the recovery part of the surgery, she would hold up her arm with the IV to everyone to try and make them take it off. She also ate 5 popsicles to make herself feel better, or the nurses just wanted to give her more because she begged so cute for them. She is still our climber, you name it she has climbed it. She loves to give loves to Charlie, sometimes I think it is so she can get her mom to say "oh so sweet". She is our little girlie girl. She makes anything a bracelet or necklace, she brings sunglasses to us and then we put them on her but she won't walk away until you tell her how pretty she is!!! She is such a little sweetie!

Amelia-She finally got rid of her ear infections!!! After a series of 3 antibiotics shots (when one won't swallow her antibiotic, one has to get shots!), she is all clear now. She is very into playing with her sister and she tries really hard to feed her brother (yes I had to dig a fruit loop out of Charlie's mouth, don't worry she barely had it in there)! She likes to do everything her sister does, even the bad stuff. I think she wants to see if she can get away with it. She challenges the rules, I can take her away from the dog's water dish 50 million times and even spank her hand but she turns around and goes right back to it. She likes sunglasses too, we bought them some sunglasses at the MOA the other day and she put them on and waved to people walking by! She is such a little cutie!

Anthony-Daddy is doing better. He spent some time in the hospital because of his diabetes this week. We missed him a lot. He is doing well and is back on his insulin schedule! He is in his fourth year at BCBSofMN.

Jill-I am doing good. Being home with the kids is great. We got our new triple stroller! It rocks because I can go places alone easier now, no more carrying a baby in a car seat while pushing a double stroller. Having 3 kids under 2 is a chaotic life but I LOVE IT!! The laundry is trying to smother me though :)

Amelia is serving some time :) After 15 time-outs for touching the tv, she was given a little thinking time in the crib! She is a bit stubborn (who does she get that from...hmmmm?)

Amelia received a visitor, who seemed jealous she didn't get to be in the crib. She learned after one time-out not to climb up on the train tables. She however doesn't understand not to climb up on the table at home. We may need to steal one of Auntie Janice's blue chairs for time-outs!

Amazed he can snooze through a ton of kids playing around him. Our little (well maybe not that little) bundle of joy snuggling!

January So Far

We went to the Mall of America with Tony's family on friday. We were all going to his parents house for dinner after. We let the girls ride the Merry Go Round! Let's just say they were excited at first but wanted off half way through. Charlie & I watched from the sidelines!

We were playing at Janice's daycare the other day when Janice brought in some snow for the girls to play with. Mommy made them their first snowman, about 4 inches tall! Baylee went for it right away, Amelia was a little more leery. After watching Baylee eat it, Amelia decided to jump in! They had fun until it melted!!!

Our little man! Here's an update on this little guy, well I shouldn't say "little" he weighs over 10 pounds already!!! He has been recovering from his first cold. He has been diagnosed with Acid Reflux, like his sisters and Hypothyroidism, like his sisters. We are going to the girls Endocrinologist to see why all our children have Hypothyroidism. He will take a pill a day just like the girls to even out his levels. He is doing well with sleeping and he loves to eat. He is a great addition to our family!

Miss Amelia is doing well, she is pictured above drinking some milk while they wait for Mommy and Charlie to be done with the doctor. She is very active and likes to challenge authority. She likes to do anything we tell her sister not to do, to see our reaction to her doing it. She loves to climb on everything. She is still into watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Tigger and Pooh. She loves to hug on her baby brother and chase her sister all around. Her giggle is infectious as she dances and plays with her sister and cousins. We absolutely adore her!

Miss Baylee is also waiting at the doctor's office in the photo above. She is doing great! She is our little daredevil. She climbs up on everything and stands up. She will look right at us while she does it knowing she isn't suppose to be doing it. Baylee likes to look at her brother, but would rather climb in his bouncy seat or swing. She tolerates him. She will kiss him and does say his name (which we are happy about). She loves to watch her shows too! She is in love with eating fruit of any kind. We have to hold it off till the end of a meal so she will eat other things. She likes to dance and play with her sister and cousins. We absolutely adore her too!

Cerclage is Out-Waiting for Baby Charlie

Today, I had surgery to remove my cerclage. It didn't go as planned, they had to knock me completely out instead of just sedation. I had to be stitched up because of some lacerations from the procedure. So, not liking sitting down right now :) We are now on the watch for labor to begin and Mister Charlie can come into this world!!! We will try to keep you all posted. We do have new photos of the girls but haven't uploaded them yet, we will try before he arrives!!!

Impromptu Pumpkin Carving at Grandma I's House

We decided to carve pumpkins at Grandma I's house the other night with our cousins. Here the girls are with their carved pumpkins. Didn't they do a good job?? So, talented for 1 year olds...lol!!! These photos are a little blurry, mommy's camera has been doing that lately :( We finished around 9:30pm, so the girls are in their jammies and doing really well an hour and half past their bedtime!! They went right to sleep when we got home.

Trying Out Our New Plates and Spoons

Amelia picked up her spoon, used her hand to load it and then into the mouth, with most of it getting in!!!

As you can see, Baylee's spoon was discarded, well basically ignored, right away! She dug right in! Poor girl was starving!

Amelia eats her spoon as well! But also used her fingers a lot!

Baylee loves eggs and cheese! Her toast as you can see is gone first!!

The Morning After Partying Late

3 trips to Children's

Mommy took a few shots with her iphone during two of the visits we had with the girls at Children's Hospital the last 6 weeks. We were not allowed to have any form of electrical equipment in the room when Baylee had the wires attached to her head after her seizures, so we only have Amelia's stay for pneumonia and Baylee's visit for her MRI and throat scope! This is Amelia sitting in her crib on her second to last day playing with toys. She was more alert this day and was willing to play for about 10 minutes and then back in Mommy's arms.

Amelia having some pedialyte while watching a movie. She did really well with the IV she didn't take it out or pull on it. She did hand her arm to every nurse or doctor that walking in the room.

Amelia stretching out on a sheet on the floor to give Mommy's arms a much needed rest! This is the night before discharge and she was doing much better!!

Baylee was already done with her check in and prep for her procedure. They let her play in a playroom until the doctor was ready to proceed. She had to be scanned for metal and they took a metal wand detector to her as she stood next to the police car. Mommy told her she never wanted to see her have that done when she was older. The nurses thought it was funny and called her their "little rebel" the rest of the time we were there.

She switched roles and pretended to be a doctor!

She didn't want to come over by Mommy because they wanted to have her put a mask on and practice breathing in, like when they put her out. She didn't want anything to do with that.

They offered different scents for her to chose from to mask the smell. We choose strawberry! She did let them put the mask on her when they put her out. She was a brave little girl. The gown just fit her length. She walked through the hospital like that and would wave to people as she passed. We hope we don't have to do that again anytime soon!

Trip to the Apple Orchard

Amelia gets some playing in before we head out. But doesn't like her boots. She refused to walk in them, so we had to change to their tennis shoes so she would walk. She is a bit stubborn about footwear, she is like her mommy, she likes to be barefooted.
