Cali Vaca Day #8

We went to the beach in San Diego. It was quite windy that day. We took a stroll through a park to the ocean!

Parker caught jumping off from a dolphin!

It was such a beautiful place!

Cousins exploring the ocean together.

The girls and mommy walking the beach!

Mommy thinking it is terribly cold, the girls liked to look down at the water. It was too cold to get them into their swimsuits.

Daddy wrote the girls' names in the sand!

Hanging out on the beach!

Nap time!

Strolling down the beach with Daddy, this was Daddy first visit to the ocean too!

We left San Diego and headed back to the GardenWalk in Anaheim to do a little shopping, the girls got their first set of skechers (even though they are size one and still too big)

Amelia didn't want the shoes, she thought she could eat some of mommy's ice cream.

Baylee liked the box a lot!

We were at the airport really early. We had a red eye flight. The girls stretched out on the floor with daddy while we waited to board the plane. The girls slept all the way home to MN. They only woke up when we walked off the plane and the MN cold air hit them. Let's just say they bellowed their discomfort. All in all, we had an awesome time! We are planning a trip to Disney World now for September. We are going to celebrate their 1st birthday!!! Auntie Alexis is excited she is going to come with. Disney is having such good pricing right now and we got airline tickets for 120 per person plus tax. It is such a good deal to fly, who could pass it up. We think the experience will be way different with two one year olds, but we are up for it and love that we have them to enjoy!!!

Cali Vaca Day #7

On our last day at Disneyland, we went first to Disneyland and then to California Adventures. Here is Amelia all ready to go and have a great day.

Baylee is excited to meet some more characters and go on some rides!

Amelia looks guilty and Baylee is tickled about something, hmmm Mommy might be picking up some toys that have gone overboard AGAIN!

The girls are smiling at another person who stopped to talk to the girls!!!

The girls were asleep when they met Goofy, Goofy told everyone to be quiet.

The girls meet the Head Mouse, Mickey Mouse, they giggled a lot when he tickled their tummies.

They were giggling so much it made the other people in line laugh, which in turn made them giggle even more. We were right in front of another set of twins (b/g) about 5 years old.

Hanging out in front of Mickey's house in Mickey's car.

Daddy thought this would be cute sitting on Mickey's mailbox, Mommy was telling him to snap the photo quick!
Daddy hanging out in Toontown with his girls.
Daddy on the Toontown Jolly Trolley
Leaving Disneyland and heading to California Adventure, which is literally a short walk from gate to gate.

Amelia pulls out her shades because the California Sun is beating down.
Baylee trying to avoid her adoring fans :)
Grandma and all the kids!

Meeting a favorite Playhouse Disney Star Handy Manny!!!
Daddy gets silly with Handy Manny!
Who is that tickling thte girls and making them giggle???
It is Sully from Monsters Inc.! This was before Mommy and Daddy left the girls with Grandma so we could go on the Tower of Terror. Which was a lot more fun than the one in Florida!!
The girls sleep through Radiator Springs!

The girls are ready for bed in San Diego!

Cali Vaca Day #6

On this day, Janice, Joyce, Mom and I went to a taping of the Ellen Degeneres Show. We left early to make sure we got there on time. We were early so we went to lunch at a restaurant right by the studio. It was one of those places you see on tv or in the movies where celebrities hang out at. We didn't mean to overhear but the guy behind us was talking about his future job with the pilot episode of a series based on "Twilight". After lunch, we headed back and then proceeded to do the waiting game for the show. Standing in line, getting security checked, watch an Ellen Show, fill out a survey, and wait in line to go to the restroom. We also purchased some Ellen water from Manny (the man who balances everything on his head). Once we were ushered across the road and into the studio, we waited in line again. Finally, we made it onto the set. It looked the same as on tv. We were told where to sit, the right of Ellen, 6 rows up, right by Tony the DJ. The played a lot of games with the audience before Ellen came out. We of course then got up and danced when Ellen came out. It was all a lot of fun. We watched her interview Meredith from the Today Show and Princess Olivia from "House". It went fast but we were glad we got to go. The show we were in the audience for was aired here on Monday. I watched it and only got a glimpse of Joyce and I dancing together.
After the show, we drove back to meet the guys and kids at Buca's to have dinner with our relatives because it was their last night in town. The girls slept through dinner, which was nice but I missed them while I was gone. So, because of Ellen we didn't take too many photos this day, but wait for day #7 I picked up the camera again!!!
As a side note: We reached 1000 people reading our blog in the last month, ever since I put the counter on the bottom of the page on the 7th of February. We would love to get to know those who read our blog. If you have the time please post a comment with your name and if you have a blog too we would love to read it as well. Thanks for all the interest and I hope you enjoy seeing the girls grow!!!

Zoey was in heaven meeting the fairies!

Mommy rates this as the best moment on the trip with Zoey-All Zoey talked about was meeting Tinkerbell. She opened her arms and gave her the biggest hug and stared at her with open amazement that she was talking to Tinkerbell. As a sappy Aunt, I had tears in my eyes!!

Amelia shakes Tinkerbell's hand!
